You know, I sometimes think, how is anyone ever gonna come up with a book,

or a painting, or a symphony, or a sculpture that can compete with a great city.

You can't.

Because you look around and every street, every boulevard,

is its own special art form and when you think that in the cold,

 violent, meaningless universe that Paris exists, these lights.

I mean come on, there's nothing happening on Jupiter or Neptune,

 but from way out in space you can see these lights,
the cafés, people drinking and singing.

For all we know, Paris is the hottest spot in the universe."

I knew by the title alone that

Midnight In Paris was going to be a favorite film.

And once I heard the synopsis -

I was already in love.

A man wandering the streets of Paris

only to be transported to the 1920's

to share drinks with some of my favorites:

F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway,

Picasso, and Salvador Dali...

I literally was jumping out of my seat with excitement.

Can you imagine discussing your work and life

with one of your heroes?

What sorts of inspiration would you be overcome with?

This movie was magical beyond words.

Woody Allan has created another gem.

And this one I will watch again and again -

To be captivated by the mystery and beauty

of Paris and all the great art that

was inspired by it.
